National Cultural Heritage, the Trinity Castle one of the first examples of coastal artillery fort and an innovative building from the times in which it was conceived and built. Built on a promontory that controls and defends the entrance to sea port of Roses, the castle was part of the strategy of the Mediterranean defense that drove the Spanish Empire during the modern era.
