D.O. Empordà wines
The range of Empordà wines is extensive. The red wines are high quality, full-bodied, well-structured and harmonious, sometimes with added hues thanks to careful aging. These reserva and crianza wines boast special aromatic notes. They are complex, with a subtle fragrance and a hint of spice, always preserving the aromas of the fruit and the vine. On the palate, they are full, flavoursome and pleasant.
The D.O. Empordà wines has very heterogeneous land, the majority of which has a sandy texture and low organic material content. This is ideal for high quality winemaking. The soils are largely acidic, and the area varies in height from sea level to an altitude of 260 m.
